Announcements Week of November 8, 2009
- Brother Danny Bratcher, the missionary we support in Brazil, will be our guest speaker on Wednesday night, November 11th. He will be giving an update on his work in Brazil. You can also view Danny’s blog at dbrat4christ.blogspot.com .
- We are in need of food for the food pantry. If you would like to donate food for the pantry, please bring non-perishable items and put them in the box in the foyer. There is a list of recommended items on the bulletin board.
- The Wreaths for Veterans project has started. There are many opportunities to volunteer more information available here.

- Lois Morgan is recovering from esophageal surgery, and has a doctor’s appointment Monday, November 9th.
- Conna Oliver (friend and co-worker of Michele Clements) is in the ICU with pneumonia.
- Mike Killian (Megan Tyler’s uncle) had surgery for brain cancer.
- Kensley Kelly (a kindergartener at Madison County Elementary) was in a car accident in Pensacola FL. She is now at UAB Children’s Hospital receiving intensive therapy. Doctors believe she will make a full recovery within a year or two.
- Kitty Gallimore’s grandmother fell and broke her hip.

- Nancy Hollingsworth’s son Jeff Hollingsworth, passed away due to injuries suffered in a car crash Monday. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 27th from 6 – 8 at Berryhill Funeral Home. Funeral will be Thursday at 11:00. Remember Nancy and her family in your prayers.

The doctors had to remove a kidney due to the tumor, but there were no signs that there was any spreading. The other kidney is functioning well, and the doctors are hopeful that he will not have to have dialysis. He will be in Huntsville Hospital for a few days for recovery.

The doctors had to remove a kidney due to the tumor, but there were no signs that there was any spreading. The other kidney is functioning well, and the doctors are hopeful that he will not have to have dialysis. He will be in Huntsville Hospital for a few days for recovery.

- Dorothy York (Paula South’s mother) – Doctors have found a mass above her stomach and liver. She will be undergoing tests later in the week to determine a course of action.
- Lawry Schrader, a close friend of David Blevins has been diagnosed with cancer.
- Darrell Vanderlinden (Alma’s husband, Pam MacLean’s father) has a kidney mass. The doctors believe that they will be able to remove the mass and leave enough of the kidney that Darrell will not have to have dialysis.
- Alma Vanderlinden is still having health problems. The doctors have determined that the treatment they were considering will not be helpful.

- Congratulations to Jason and Kim Britton on the birth of the twins – Lucas Michael and Hannah Christine last Thursday. Lucas was delivered at 4:52, weighing 6lbs 6 oz, and measuring 18 1/2 inches. Hannah was delivered at 4:53, weighing 6 lbs 2 oz, and measuring 17 inches. All are doing well, and are at home now.
